Track Website Visitor Referrals in Hubspot
Knowing where your website traffic originates gives your SaaS, managed service, startup, or growth-state company valuable insights into which of your messages resonates most with your target audience. Hubspot allows you to track which third-party websites are referring the most traffic to your site, helping you develop more strategic marketing campaigns. Here’s how to track visitors’ paths to your website in Hubspot: Make sure your HubSpot tracking code is installed on all pages of your website.
- Go to Reports in the HubSpot navigation menu, then select Analytics Tools.
- Click on Sources under the Acquisition section.
- In the Referral section, you'll see a list of all the websites that have referred visitors to your site.
- To see more details about a particular referral source, click on the name of the website.
- You'll be able to see information such as the number of visits, contacts, and customers generated from that referral source, as well as the pages on your site that the referral traffic is visiting.
- To see a breakdown of the referral source by specific pages, click on the Pages tab.
By tracking website visitors from referring websites in HubSpot, you'll be able to see which referral sources are responsible for your traffic and conversions, and you can use this information to optimize your marketing strategy and focus your efforts on the most effective channels.
